Anirban  Hazra Anirban Hazra grew up on NCL Pune campus and got excited about Chemistry from his parents and other inspired NCL scientists. After studying in Loyola High School Pune, he went to IIT Bombay for undergraduate studies and then to Princeton University, USA for his PhD in Theoretical Chemistry. After PhD he traveled through India, particularly villages, for about a year to understand the diversity, problems and richness of our country. He also met Mr. Arvind Gupta at the Children's Science Centre in IUCAA, Pune University who inspired him to write a book for children on the history of chemistry. This book called, "The Story of Chemistry" was published by Vigyan Prasar (Delhi) in 2007. Anirban is currently a postdoctoral scholar at The Pennsylvania State University where he is developing theoretical methods to understand charge transfer reactions in molecules following photoexcitation
